Mrs. Mamie Duckett was born on June 4, 1895 in Bowie County, Texas to Mr. Mason and Mrs. Malinda Willis Lindsay of Texas. She departed this life on June 9, 1982 in Vallejo, California at the age of 87 years.
Mrs. Duckett moved to California 40 years ago coming from Yuma, Arizona. Mamie Duckett accepted Christ into her life at an early age in the Baptist faith and was a member of King Solomon Baptist Church. During Mrs. Duckett's stay, she gained many kind and loving friends and will be missed by all who knew her, but God doeth all things for the best and it is for us to trust in Him and His infinite ways...therefore we commend her spirit back to the God that give it and may she rest in everlasting peace!

Mamie Duckett leaves to mourn her passing two sons: Carmett Duckett of Oakland, California and M.G. Duckett of Fresno, California; four daughters: Pearlee Smith of Fresno, California, Pearl Jones of Oakland, California, Fairrillia Pitchford of Vallejo, California and Mrs. Elnora Reed of Yuma, Arizona, along with 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
