Mrs. Charles Albrecht
SISTER LAKES-Mrs. Charles Albrecht, 63, was killed last week when her car struck a truck which state police of the Benton Harbor post said pulled from a private driveway into the path of Mrs. Albrecht's car.
The fatal mishap occurred on Napier Ave. in Bainbridge township. The truck-driver, Robert Clark, 37, was not injured. He was ticketed for failure to yield right of way while leaving a private driveway.
Funeral services for Mrs. Albrecht were held Thursday at the Calvin Funeral home at Hartford. The Rev. Gary Gamble of the Keeler Methodist church officiated and burial was in Keeler cemetery.
Mrs. Albrecht was a former employee of the Berrien county social services department. She was employed at the time of her death as a bookkeeper for R. A. Mort Supply Co., Benton Harbor.
Mrs. Albrecht, the former Eleanor Lind, was a native of Chicago. She is survived by her husband, whom she married Dec. 31,1936, in Indiana and by a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Skomer of Sister Lakes.
State police said Mrs. Albrecht was alone in her car when it struck the wheels of a semi-trailer truck as it turned left onto Napier.
