| Birth: | Jul. 11, 1921 Syracuse Onondaga County New York, USA | | Death: | Sep. 1, 2007 Peoria Heights Peoria County Illinois, USA |  PEORIA - Gladys I. Lair, 86, of Peoria, formerly of Creve Coeur, passed away at 6:04 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at OSF St. Clare Home in Peoria Heights.
She was born July 11, 1921, in Syracuse, N.Y., the daughter of Harry and Claudia (Compton) Lincoln. She married James Alva Lair on Jan. 21, 1945, in Flushing, N.Y. He preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1980, in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley A. Wurster; two brothers; and three sisters.
Surviving are one son, James A. (Gloria) Lair Jr. of Elizabethtown, Ky.; one daughter, Claudia (Michael) Hoshor of Peoria; eight grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was a former member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary Post in Creve Coeur.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Entombment will be in Springdale Mausoleum in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to Rescue 33 in Chillicothe, OSF Saint Clair Home or OSF Hospice.
