| Birth: | Mar. 10, 1846 | | Death: | Feb. 1, 1850 |  Son of Abraham Lincoln. He was the second son of future President Abraham and Mary Lincoln. His arrival came during the period his father was serving in the House of Representatives. The family, Robert, Eddie and their parents had boarded at Mrs Ann G. Sprigg's Boarding House while in Washington. In December 1849, Eddie became ill with pulmonary tuberculosis. After 52 days of acute illness, he passed away at barely four years old. Services were conducted at the Springfield First Presbyterian Church. The little boy was buried in nearby Hutchinson's Cemetery a few blocks west of the Lincoln home. For the next 15 years his remains lay there, then in Dec 1865 Edwards body was removed from Hutchinson Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois to Oak Ridge Cemetery to be placed in new Tomb.
