She died Friday, June 7, 2002, in Arlington. Born May 12, 1920, in Carlisle, the daughter of the late Glenn A. and Mary Egolf Lightner, she was a 1938 graduate of Carlisle High School and received a degree in French from Dickinson College. She settled in the Washington area about 50 years ago.
She was a member of Walker Chapel United Methodist Church, National Association of Parliamentarians, National Cancer Society, Chi Omega Social Sorority and a former president of the Woman's Club of Arlington, Va.
Mrs. Janaske is survived by her husband of 56 years, Paul C. Janaske; two sons, Paul C. Jr. of Great Falls, Va., and Stephen C. of St. Peters, Mo.; a brother, Glenn Lightner Jr. of Newville; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Burial was in Walker Chapel Cemetery. Murphy Funeral Home, Arlington, Va., was in charge of the arrangements.
