Betty Lightcap, 78, of 2010 Farley St., died at 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at home.

Services will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, with the Rev. Peter Marshall officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born on May 16, 1930, in Bellevue, Iowa, daughter of Clarence and Mabel (Koester) Keil. She married Donald Johnson, and later married Harold Lightcap; both preceded her in death.

She worked for Gibson Washing Machine for 10 years, Joe Whites Maid-Rite for 10 years and lastly, she became a homemaker to raise her sons.

Betty loved to be with her friends and go on road trips.

Surviving are her son, Randy Johnson, of Dubuque; grandson, Austin; two brothers, Marvin (Evaleen) Keil, of Bellevue, and Ron (Terri) Keil, of California; and many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gary; brother, Dean Keil; and sister, Donna Reifschneider.
