Shirley A. Durocher, 79, of Monroe died at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday at Fountainview of Monroe; she had been in poor health for one week. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the Rupp Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. She will lie instate Saturday 9 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church with services at 10 a.m. Rev. Stephen Vileo, pastor will officiate and burial will be St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe. Born May 13, 1930 in Monroe she was the daughter of Leonard and Amilda (Specht) Liedel. She married Eugene P. Durocher on May 13, 1950 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee he preceded her in death on November 15, 1984. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, a 1948 graduate of St. Mary's Academy and enjoyed bowling, golf, bingo and card playing. Surviving are her children Terry P. (Karen) Durocher of Monroe; Paul L. (Jimilyn) Durocher of Monroe; Kay A. (Andrew) Hollister of Newport and Frances A. (Mark) Donham of Ida; brothers, Donald (Rose) Liedel of Northville; Arthur (Pauline) Liedel of Virginia; Kenneth (Donna) Liedel of Phoenix, AZ; Leonard (Emmy) Liedel of Ocala, Florida, Lawrence Liedel of Naples, Florida, sisters, Phyllis (Raymond) Bobich of Monroe; Barbara (Joseph) Marino of Monroe; Marjorie Kehres of Monroe; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Duane E. Durocher, sisters; Elizabeth Schmidt, Ruth Dean and Jane Gerhardt, brother-in laws Carl Schmidt and John Kerhes and sister-in-law Vickie Liedel. Memorials may be made to St. Michaels School.
