Mayme E. Anderson
Mayme E. Anderson died Sunday, Sept. 19, 1999, in Indianapolis.
She was born July 3 in Georgetown, Tenn. Her parents were George and Ella (Parks) Lewis. She married William R. Anderson. He preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Pauline M. Wallace of Indianapolis and Ann B. Hilbun of Mississippi; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one sister, Judy Wilhite of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by two sons, William and Hobert Anderson, and a daughter, Dorothy Randolph.
She was employed 25 years as a matron for Perry Township School Corp., retiring in 1982.
She was a member of Greenwood Church of the Nazarene.
A service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
