Geneva Clair Lewis, 93, of Hillsboro, Ohio, formerly of Vanceburg, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro. Born December 18, 1914, at Springdale, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Robert and Mary Harriet Garrett Breeze, and the widow of Floyd Lewis who died February 18, 1972. She was a homemaker and worked in sales for Volers Department Store and Max Block Department Store in Vanceburg. She was one of the founding members of Vanceburg Christian Baptist Church and attended the Nazarine Church in Hillsboro. Survivors include a daughter, Lois Esham of Vanceburg; two grandchildren, one great grandson; and a sister, Naomi Breeze of Hillsboro.
The funeral was conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg. Rev. Kerry Conlee officiated with burial in Lewis Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
