Anderson – Mary V. Huffman, 91, went to be with the Lord Monday evening, July 29, 2013, at her son's residence following an extended illness.
She was born on March 14, 1922 in Ft. Wayne the daughter of Adrian D. and Florence Agnes (Sullenbarger) Lewis, attended Union City High School, moved to Muncie in 1947, and has lived for the past four years with her son in Anderson.
Mrs. Huffman was a member of the Church of Christ for almost seventy years.
Surviving are five sons, Arthur L. Huffman (wife, Anna), Anderson, George E. Huffman (wife, Sherry), Muncie, Lowell A. Huffman (wife, Charlene), Muncie, Leland K. Huffman (wife, Debbie), Muncie, and Gilbert L. Huffman (wife, Sharon), Terre Haute; her daughter, Cynthia Dianne Huffman, Anderson; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; two sisters, Erma Stump, Union City, OH and Velma Gilmore (husband, Ottis), Versailles, OH; a brother, James Lewis (wife, Jeannie), Union City, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, M. Duane Huffman; a sister; and a brother.
