Services for Arther Coleman Lewis, 80, will be at 2:30 PM today (March 29, 1981) at George A Smith & Sons' Main Chapel. Dr. John Lee Taylor will officiate and burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery.

Mr. Lewis, a lifelong resident of Madison County, died Friday (March 27, 1981) evening at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital following a long illness.

He was a retired farmer and employee of Morgan Lumber Company. He was also a member of West Jackson Baptist Church and attended Rev. A.L. Bishop's Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Anderson Lewis (whom he married on January 5, 1930 in Jackson), a daughter Ginny King (Tom) of Kissimmee, FL and six grandchildren (Joel, Robert & Sheryl Lewis and Ginger, Tommy & Tina King). Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by a son, Elbert Coleman Lewis in 1976.

He was the son of the late H. Coleman "Coley" and Lemmie Cosby Lewis.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Pentecost, Bernie Pentecost, Guy Gee, H.P. Curlin, Gene Curlin, W.A. Glass, Wilson Thomas and Charles Hudson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Pentecost, Hubert Coburn, Jack S. King, Milton Wilson, E. B. McAuley, Doyle Russell and members of the Rev. Bishop's Sunday School Class.
