Bruce W. Lewis, 82, of Vanceburg, died Monday, August 9, 2010, at Golden Living Center in Vanceburg.
Born July 15, 1928, at Vanceburg, to Lonnie Bruce Lewis and Nellie Sartin Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Mable Johnson Lewis, on July 11, 1993, one son, Arnold Ray Lewis, two sisters, Betty Johnson and Shirley Hall, and two brothers, Robert Lewis and Charles Lewis.
He was an equipment operator for the CSX Railroad System for 41 years. He was a member of the Railroad Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Spriggs Ginn, four daughters, Diana Lewis of Maysville, Rachel Shepherd of Quincy, Nancy (Earl) Mullins of New Paris, OH., and Cindy (Roger) Zibberman of Kearney, NB., one son, Michael A. (Faye) Lewis of Vanceburg, one brother, Clifford (Ann) Lewis of Indiana, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg, with Rev. Nelson Evans officiating. Burial will be in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
