Cecil J. Lewis, 87, of Springfield died Tuesday at St. John's Hospital.He was born Dec. 6, 1907, in Springfield, the son of William and Mabel King Lewis. He married Leatha L. Crum in 1927.
Mr. Lewis was a lifelong Springfield resident. He retired in 1972 from Pillsbury Mills Co., where he was a packer. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 437 and American Federation of Grain Millers.
Survivors: wife, Leatha L. Lewis; a daughter, Mrs. Jean (Joan) Tomlinson of Clearwater, Fla.; a grandchild; a great-grandchild; and a niece.
Services: Staab Funeral Home, the Rev. Bruce Naylor officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
