THE DEATH OF MRS ALBERT LEWIS The funeral of Mrs. Albert Lewis, of Mulberry, which occurred at the Clark cemetery here, Saturday, was not largely attended owing to the fact that but few knew of her death. Mrs. Lewis was well known here, having spent her girlhood days in the vicinity of Monroe and Clark’s Hill, and was one of the sweet alto singers of the Monroe Sunday school forty years ago. Then the late August Kilgore trained the young people in vocal music and when they were called on to sing at a picnic every one expected something good and they were seldom if ever disappointed, and Mrs. Lewis then Miss Alice Bazler, and the writer’s wife, then Miss Sallie C. Wright, were the alto singers. The husband and son and the deceased’s sister, Mrs. Vance Bell, have the sympathy of their friends in the community.
