Art L. Levi, 89, of Indianapolis passed away Friday March 8, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 30, 1924, in Scottsville, Ky., to Thomas William and Daisy (Thomas) Levi.
Survivors include friend, Lois J. (Hair) Levi of Indianapolis; daughters, Cathy Land of Indianapolis and Sue Crowder of Greenwood; sister, Ollie Wallace of Martinsville; four grandchildren, Amie Langevin of Avon, Danie Caruthers of Indianapolis, Elizabeth Armantrout of Indianapolis, and Amanda Deboo of Indianapolis; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Nicholas, and a companion Vadnia Taylor of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Amstuez.
He had been a driver for Caito Foods in Indianapolis for 15 years, previously he had worked for Bova Fruit Company and the Mascari Family. He also operated Art's Market in Indianapolis.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #17 in Indianapolis.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 in Franklin with military honors at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
