Jessie Levering Fike (1941-2015)

Jessie Levering Fike, 74, of Somerset, died March 25, 2015 at Allegheny General hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Feb. 1, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of Wilson Keyser and Rosalind (Robinson) Levering Jr. Preceded in death by parents; daughter Colby R. Fike; brother William Keyser Levering III; sister Rev. Tacy French. Survived by son, Eugene E. "Chip" Fike III, married to the former Paula Beeghly of Amesbury, Massachusetts; granddaughters Kate and Emily; twin sister Linda Luste of Toronto, Canada; also survived by special friend and caregiver Pat Miller of Someret. Jessie worked as an LPN for various hospitals, and then she became a model for Saks Fifth Avenue. She later worked for Somerset "In Touch" Hospice. She was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Church Chapel where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Linda J. McElroy Thomas officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Somerset "In Touch" Hospice, P.O. Box 1173, Somerset, PA 15501, or Trinity Lutheran Church, 918 Tayman Ave., Somerset, PA 15501.
