Claxton - Levander Levant, 73, was dead on arrival Sept 16 at Evans Memorial Hospital here after a heart attack.
The Liberty County native was a resident of Evans County many years and a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Groveland.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Laverne Palmer of Claxton, Mrs. Bea Cooper of Hagan and Mrs. Wilhelmina Murray of Savannah; three sisters, Mrs. Albertha Young and Mrs. Bessie Baker, both of Claxton, and Mrs. Rose Love of Cincinnati; four brothers, Alex, Tom, Clinton and Fletcher Levant, all of Claxton; and nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Saturday at Jerusalem Baptist Church, burial in the church cemetery. Harper's Funeral Home of Claxton.
