Floy (Nana) Naomi Barnes (Lett) passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Floy was born on April 25, 1919 in Powell, Missouri to Elza and Mary Jane Lett and was the third of ten children. The family later moved to Goodman, Missouri where she attended school. She married Dorcie Calvin Barnes on October 19, 1935 who soon thereafter began working for HC Price Pipeline and together they traveled the U.S while raising a family. During WWII Floy spent time working in a factory making gun powder. In the early seventies they returned to Goodman, Missouri to retire and enjoy an extensive network of family and friends. Floy spent many happy years babysitting area children and became affectionately known to everyone as “Nana”. Floy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Goodman, Missouri, and her acts of Christian charity and love were evident to all. She was a blessing to many and will be greatly missed by all. Floy is preceded in death by: Dorcie Calvin Barnes, husband; Don Carlos Barnes and Floy Carleen Barnes (children); and Marcus Allen Shoenberger (great grandchild). Floy is survived by her son-in-law Bill Barnes (Mary), daughter-in-law Beatrice Barnes and grandchildren Curt Barnes (Connie); Jenny Somerhalder (Doug) Brenna Quiroz (Albert) Jon Barnes (Rebecca ) Abby Fryar (Brent) and great grandchildren Sarah Shoenberger, Alison Quiroz , Blake Barnes, Lexi Somerhalder, Brock Somerhalder, Morgan Barnes, Dylan Fryar, Brayden Fryar and Sam Fryar and great great grandchildren Macie Mittag and Carlee Mittag. She is also survived by her brother Marshall Lett (Beth), Alma Smith and Carol Lowe (O.D.) and a host of loving nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., the family will receive friend at this time. A celebration of her life will be held on April 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at The Goodman First Baptist Church in Goodman, Missouri. Brother Frank Crosby will officiate. Burial will follow in the Howard Cemetery in Goodman, Missouri.
