Wife of James P Shaver, married Dec 6, 1855, Perry County Alabama. Also, spelled Louvenia Ann she was the daughter of Stephen Tolbert & Chloe Adams [Norris] Letcher. Her father died in Dallas Co AL, in 1857 and is buried at Fellowship Church Cemetery close to Plantersville AL. Her mother Chloe "Clara", died in Maud Bowie County Texas and is buried at Center Ridge Cemetery.

Her fathers family, the Letcher's, moved from Edgefield County SC, to Alabama, shortly after the War of 1812, before 1820. Her mother was born in Hopkins Co KY.

Three of Luvenia's brothers served in the Civil War; John Jackson, Thomas Giles, and Stephen Baker Letcher, they survived the war, but with injuries. Originally, they were all in same unit, Co A, 20th AL Infantry Regiment. Luvenia's hushand James P Shaver, also served in the same unit.

Jim and Louvenia were members of the United Methodist Church, in Maud Bowie County Texas.
