Grace died in 1890, Richard went to his maternal grandparents in Omaha, and by the 1910 U.S. Census, Peter was living in Brooklyn, New York. Father and son were famously reunited in 1914 (the story was picked up by newspapers across the country). However, by the 1920 U.S. Census, Richard's wife, Winifred Borck Leonard, was divorced and living with her three children in Deerfield, Ohio. I have been unable to locate Peter or Richard, though Richard was reportedly taking Peter to Cincinnati, Ohio, after their reunion.
