Eddie August Leinweber died January 19th, 2011. Born June 21, 1919 in Medina County,Texas. He completed Draughans Business College before enlisting in the U.S. Army. Serving his country in WWII, he was assigned to intelligence and operations, where he carried a typewriter for five years along with his battle gear into the South Pacific operations. He continued to serve his country in civil service as a personnel management specialist at Lackland Air Force Base until his retirement in 1976. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Wilhelmina Leinweber, and his brothers Marvin and Milton. He was survived by his wife of 64 years, LaVelle.
