Another pioneer of this city passed to the great beyond this morning at 2:30 o'clock in the person of Anthony Lehmkuhl, the North Second Street druggist. In 1843 he came to this country and located in Cincinnati, where he resided for ten years, coming to this city in 1853 and living in the house in which he died.
He has been engaged in different trades, at first starting in as a shoemaker, then in the grocery and saloon business and was at one time in the meat business, but at last settled down as a druggist. He was for four years deputy marshal of this city under John McGehan and Dave Lingler. The deceased was a business man through and through and his integrity was far above reproach.
