Friedericke Alvina Lehrmann was the daughter of Carl Ludwig Lehmann and Friedericke Louise Charlotte Clausmeyer. Alvina Lehmann was baptized in the Eben Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin, but, unfortunately, the records from that time period of the church's history were lost in a fire. Alvina was confirmed March 25, 1877, in Eben Ezer Lutheran Church, of which her grandfather, Ludwig Lehmann, had donated the land for the church to be built, and her parents, along with her grandparents, were charter members.
Alvina married John V. Dietz on Oct. 9, 1882, in Berlin, Washington Co., Texas. They were the parents of two sons and eight daughters. John and Alvina Lehmann Dietz were married 67 years.
