Funeral services for Wanza Legg Jordan, 84, of Vinemont will be Monday, May 21, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home chapel, Rev. Tim Aris officiating with burial in Cullman City Cemetery.

Moss Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jordan was born August 21, 1927 in Cullman to Walter H. and Cora Lee Persall Legg. The Lord called Mrs. Jordan home Friday, May 18, 2012 while residing at the Folsom Center Nursing Home. She had a lengthy battle with Alzheimers for several years. Pior to her sickness she was very active working in their mercantile store of 59 years until the disease took control of her.

Mrs. Jordan is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, William H. Jordan and her sister, Melba Jean Pedersen of Ridgefield, Conn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, C.T., Doise, Gurney and Prentice.

Pallbearers will be nephews and godsons, Tim Pedersen of Oklahoma and Todd Pedersen of North Carolina; nephews, G.W. Ponder of Cullman and Herb Jordan of Chicago; and friends Millard Mason, Butch Smith and John Ray all of Cullman.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimers Foundation.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
