Bobbie was born Dec. 12, 1949, in Friendsville, Md., to Olan and Ruth Bittinger.
On April 12, 1995, she married Joe Legg. Bobbie received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. She loved teaching nursing at Harrison College in Anderson. She was a faithful member of Redeemer Baptist Church of Anderson.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Joe Legg of Anderson; two daughters, Leslie (Rob) Clarkson of Orestes and Becky (Billy) Brandle of Pendleton; two sons, Bob (Anita) Blackmond of Frankton and Bill Blackmond of Alexandria; sister Dott Small of Virginia; 11 grandchildren, a great-grandchild and two nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Redeemer Baptist Church, 3230 Lindberg Road, Anderson, with Pastors Brad Storm and Edsel Joyner officiating. Burial will follow in the K of P/IOOF Cemetery, Frankton.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Harper and Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Baptist Church.
