STEWARTSTOWN Nancy E. Baker, 76, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Colonial Manor Nursing Center in York. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Road, York, with Rev. Mark E. Fair officiating. Born December 17, 1936 in Parkton, Md., she was the daughter of the late Roger W. and Mary E. (Baker) Lee. Nancy moved to Stewartstown in 1996 and formerly resided in Shrewsbury for 27 years. She retired from Gichner Shelter Systems in Dallastown and after retiring worked part time for Oakworks in New Freedom. Nancy loved all animals, especially her own, and cherished her grandchildren. She is survived by two children, Mary B. Kaifer and her husband Scott T. of Shrewsbury, and Todd A. Baker of Spring Grove; four grandchildren, Mariah and Michaela Baker, and Griffin and Mason Kaifer. She is also survived by a sister, Virginia V. Wissam; and a brother, Norman G. Lee. She was preceded in death by five siblings. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
