Mrs. Doris Bailey died Sunday, March 8. 1970. She was the daughter of John E. and Lenora (O'Brien) Lee. She was born in Warren county and spent her early life in the Roseville and Manmouth communities where whe received her schooling. Her marriage to Clarence Bailey took place May 28, 1927 at Monmouth, and he preceded her in death February 9, 1965. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception church and of the Altar and Rosary Society of the church. Mrs. Bailey was a receptionist for Dr. Glenn Ebersole, and later for Dr. James B. Ebersole and Dr. Wilson Taylor.
Survivors include a son, George William Bailey of Baton Rouge, LA., and a daughter Mrs. James (Martha Lee)Connell of Biggsville; as well as six grandchildren and the following brother and sisters: Ralph and Paul Lee, both of Monmouth, Mrs. Leo (Clara) Sabien of Belvidere and Mrs. Frank (Bessie) Adams of Monmouth. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Miss Blanche Lee, and a brother Ward Lee.
Funeral services were held at the Immaculate Conception church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Leo Sabien, Jr., Jack Lee, Richard Lee, Fred Bride, Kenneth O'Brien, and Robert Adams.
