ALFRETTA KAREN DIXON-LEE was the youngest daughter born to Mary Frances Dixon and the late Alfred Fenton Dixon on May 10, 1961 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She went home to be with our Lord on October 13, 2006.
Alfretta, affectionately known to family and friends as "Kay" was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System. As a young girl, Kay had her share of obstacles. None of these obstacles prevented her from becoming the strong willed, giving, fun loving woman we all loved. Kay had the biggest heart and always cared and worried about her family and friends. Whatever she had to give was yours.
Kay had many interests. She enjoyed cooking and eating even more. She also was very fond of cats. Her biggest passion was for her children. She always wanted the best for her children. With the help and support of her partner, Ronald Lee, her wish is being fulfilled. Kay met Ronald twenty four years ago, and they shared a man and wife relationship.
Kay had a wonderful sense of humor. She was always looking for a good joke and would let you know if it was "corny". This leads to her brutal honesty. She would always let you know what was on her mind and how she felt. Sometimes when talking to Kay, and the way she said things, you had to laugh.
Kay had a special relationship with our Lord. She loved him and believed in him wholeheartedly. She strived to better that relationship constantly. She was scheduled to be baptized prior to her passing.
She is survived by: her children, Shakia, Ronald, Jazmine, Javan and Kayjohn; her grandson, Saron; sisters, Deborah, Crystal and Rhoda; one brother-in-law, Ralto; two nephews, Matthew and Joseph; four great nephews, Terrell, Romell, Donovan, and Justin; two nieces, Doreen (husband Pierre) and Arshell; two great nieces, Amber and Kerryn; one great, great niece, Aleija; two very special friends Michael and Brenda.
