Chang Hwan Lee, 67, of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., died on Thursday, May 7, 2009 in a local hospital.
He was born June 16, 1941 in Seoul, Korea; married to Ae-Cha Kim in 1965 in Seoul, Korea, lived in Seoul, Korea from 1941 to 1977. He immigrated to the United States in April 1977 and lived in Augusta, Ga., from 1977 to 1998, before moving to Fort Oglethorpe in 1998.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Kathy Kyongmi Sok (daughter) and husband, Paul Sangchun Sok, of Hixson; Ron Kyongsun Lee (son) and wife, Christie Jieun Lee, of
Ringgold; Elizabeth Kyongsuk Lee (daughter), also of Ringgold; grandchildren, Janice Eujung Sok, Elan Eusun Sok, Christina Chanmi Sok of Hixson, Brittany Lee, Angie Lee, Nathan Jinwoo Lee, Justin Jinho Lee, all of Ringgold.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, with Brad Yn, Kevin Chang, Jimmy Chung, George Liu, Yongchun Sok, Patrick Kim, YoonHo Cho and Sunghwan Kim serving as pallbearers.
A reception will be held at Mandarin Garden Restaurant in Hixson following the graveside service.
