Barbara Ann Lee went to Heaven on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. The daughter of Leonard and Ida Phillips, Barbara was born on January 12, 1934 in Avant, OK. Barbara moved to Tulsa in her late teens, and it was there she met her loving husband, Art. The couple shared nearly 56 wonderful years of marriage and was blessed with one daughter, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren. Barbara worked in the Oklahoma Oil and Gas industry all of her career life. She was an active member of the American Business Women's Association, St. Mark's United Methodist Church, SERTOMA, and the Women of the Hurricane Club. Her proudest accomplishment (outside of her daughter and grandchildren), was playing an instrumental role in the founding of the Tulsa Green Country Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. She did this work on behalf of her grandson, Brian, who suffers from Type I Diabetes.
Barbara enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, shopping, cooking, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Barbara was preceded in death by both her parents; sisters, Helen Phillips and Lena Riddle; and brothers, Clifford, Leonard and Jim Phillips. She is survived by her husband Arthur E. Lee, Jr., daughter and son-in-law Kim and Brian Beair, grandchildren Kara Beair and Brian Lee Beair, all of Tulsa, and her Brother Frank Phillips of Talala.
