Vietnam veteran; truck driver
David L. Lee, 65, of Heislerville, died Tuesday evening, July 7, 2009, at the South Jersey Healthcare Inpatient Hospice Unit in Bridgeton. Born in Heislerville, he was a lifetime resident.
David was the son of the late Wilmer C. and Flora Lee and the husband of Deborah Creamer Lee. David was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a truck driver for Whibco until his health began to fail. David was a musician, playing sax and clarinet for a Christian band; he also enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding horses.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah; sons, Michael Dayton Lee of San Diego, Calif., David R. Lee of Alaska, Barry J. Lee of Millville; daughters, Stephanie Leason of Branson, Mo., Kristen Lee of Heislerville; brothers, George Peterson of Heislerville, Joseph Peterson of Florida; sister, Cloe Trout of Leesburg; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Hoffman Funeral Homes, 643 Main St., Leesburg, at 11 a.m. on Monday.
Interment will be in Leesburg Cemetery.
Viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday.
Memorial donations may be given to the family.
