Patrolman Edward Lee was shot and killed in the line of duty. He was survived by his wife and parents.

The suspect was apprehended and sentenced to death. He was executed in 1941.

Patrolman Lee had served with the agency for 20 years. []

Edward F. Lee, 57, Milton policeman, victim of a bandit's bullet last Thursday, was buried yesterday at services in St. Mary of the Hills Church, Milton, while policemen of six cities and towns paid tribute.

Fellow-officers were bearers and fellow-members of Dorchester Lower Mills council, K. of C., were honorary bearers. Burial was in Milton cemetery.

Commissioner Timilty headed the Boston police department delegation. Among the other officials present were the chiefs of police of Milton, Quincy, Canton, Randolph, Weymouth and the metropolitan division.

Patrolman Lee, a member of the Milton department for 22 years, leaves his widow, Mrs. Winifred T. McGrail Lee.
