HANNIBAL ­ Mary Jane Wichern, 71, of Hannibal, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. The Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate.
There will be no visitation. Smith Funeral Home and Chapel in Hannibal is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wichern was born July 19, 1929, in Hannibal to Dill and Ethel Myers Ledbetter.
She was married to Henry Ben Wichern on Feb. 24, 1950, in Hannibal. He preceded her in death March 15, 1994.
Survivors include two sisters, Virginia Taylor of Hannibal and Martha Christal of Milan, Ill.
The family wishes to include that she is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Basford, Eva Doran, Beva Riggs; and four brothers, Lionel May, Loran Ledbetter, Willis Ledbetter and Harold Ledbetter.
Mrs. Wichern formerly worked for International Shoe Company in Hannibal. She also worked at Gene and Louise Restaurant in Hannibal.
Memorials may be made to Blessing Hospice of Hannibal or to the American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers will be Curt St. Clair, Woody St. Clair, Bennie Oenning, Donald Bangert, David Selsor and Gordon Taylor.
