Granddaughter of Effingham Wagner and Emma B. Wagner; Their children; Francis H., Edwin A., Francaide, Eugenia, & Clarence Wagner. He owned about 75 slaves in Charleston, S.C. 1850. He shows to have married a Francaide M. Godard in 6 Nov 1815 S.C. but 1850 census show him married to Emma B. Wagner. Effingham died 8 Aug, 1867, Daughter Francaide died 1836 both buried; Saint Phillips Esiscopal Church Cemetery, Charleston, S.C. Her parents were Francis H. b. S.C. and C. E. Wagner. Her father fought in the Civil War, CSA, 6 Battilion, Texas Cavalry (Gould's) Private. She was named after her aunt, Francaide Wagner. Her siblings; F.H., Herbert, Thomas E, W.D., and O.P. Wagner Census lists her name as Francaide Wagner. Married; James H. Leaverton. I do not see a census as them having children. She had a brother Herbert Wagner living with them in 1910.
You are not forgotten, loved one, nor will you ever be; as long as life and memory last, we will remember thee. We miss you now, our hearts are sore. As time goes by, we'll miss you more. Your gentle face, no one can fill your vacant place. -
