Dorothy Billings Aubin, 81, of Maple Court died on Friday at the Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. On June 7, 1941, she was married to Wilfred E. Billings at St. Joseph Church in Dayville by Fr. Sullivan. Mr. Billings died in February 1985.

Mrs. Aubin was born in Dayville on December 12, 1923, the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (King) Leavens. She attended local schools, including Killingly High School. Upon completion of her education, she worked as a packer at the Wm. Prym Co. in Dayville for three years. In 1958, she became employed as a winder at Hale's Mfg. in Ballouville, and continued working there until 1980. From 1981 until her retirement in 1986, she worked at Idlewild Farms as an assembly worker.

Mrs. Aubin was an avid bingo player. She was a member of the Quinebaug Valley Senior Citizens in Brooklyn and a member of the St. Ignatius Church Rosary Society. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Dayville.

She leaves four daughters, Carol Barbeau of Danielson, Barbara Jurczyk of Florida, Dorothy Billings of Plainfield, and Robin Albee and her husband, Timothy of Brooklyn; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Billings Querfeld of Hadlyme, CT; two stepbrothers, Paul Parent of Phoenix, Arizona and Arthur Parent of Danielson; a stepsister, Claire Leavens of Dayville; eleven grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Wilfred J. Billings; three brothers, Steve Leavens, George Leavens and Penuial Leavens; a grandson, Robert J. Gilbert; and a greatgrandson, Christopher Pepin.

Funeral from the Gagnon-Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St., Danielson on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Dayville. Burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery, Dayville.
