Final Services for Boyce Fennell Leatherwood will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2009, at Springfield Baptist Church, Greenville, with Rev. Dr. John H. Corbitt, his friend and pastor, officiating.
His family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. this evening, Sunday, October 4, 2009, at the Brown Funeral Home, 502 Hampton Road, Greer.
Mr. Leatherwood, the son of the late Marion Leatherwood and Alma Thomason Leatherwood, was a graduate of the old Lincoln High School, Taylors, with further study at Voorhees Area Trade School. He was retired from Steel Heddle Manufacturing Company.
Survivors include three brothers: Robert A. Leatherwood, of North Highlands, California; Norman T. Leatherwood, of Roswell, Georgia; and Marion L. Leatherwood, of North Las Vegas, Nevada; five sisters: Mattye L. Sullivan, of Atlanta, Georgia; Alma Leatherwood and Thelma L. Strobble, both of Greenville; Anita L Fox, of North Miami, Florida; and Glorious L. Broughton, of Washington, D.C.; an aunt, Edith Thomason, of Greenville; other relatives and friends.
