Mrs. Clarisse A. Leary, 82, of 226 Grove St., died Sunday at Overlook Hospital.

Born in St. Kitts, British West Indies, she had resided in Jersey City for 20 years before moving to Westfield 60 years ago.

Mrs. Leary retired in 1966 after 42 years service as an art teacher in the Roselle Park public schools. She was a member and former publicity director of the Westfield Art Association, member of the Union County Retired Educators Association, National Retired Teachers Association, and the Westfield Senior Citizens.

She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Westfield and a member of its Rosary Society and Senior Citizens Association.

Surviving are her husband, Harry F. Leary; and a brother, George H. Andrew of White Plains, N.Y.

The funeral was held yesterday at the Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Wesifield Ave., and at Holy Trinity Church, where a Funeral Mass was offered by the Rev. Robert J. Harrington, associate pastor. Interment took place in Fairview Cemetery.
