Samuel Kindle LeMasters, 73, died Friday in an Elkins hospital after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Durbin, retired employee of the Pocahontas Tanning Co., and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors include his wife Virgie; four daughters, Mrs. Ida LeMasters of Lumberport, Mrs. Elma LeMasters of Mannington, Mrs. Mary Jack of Blue Grass, Va., and Mrs. Marine Blankenship, at home; a son, Roy of New Market, N.J.; three sisters, Mrs. Betty Swiger of Elkins and Mrs. Ella Comer and Miss Dessie LeMasters, both of Durbin; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today at his home. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Durbin. The body was taken from the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Cass to the home at 5 p.m. Sunday. Beckley Post-Herald May 25, 1964
