Helen Lucile (Lemasters) Burst, 87, of Greenwood, passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove.

She was born May 14, 1922, in Indianapolis to William Harley Lemasters and Nora Marie (Brinkman) Lemasters. She married Wallon H. Burst on Nov. 23, 1942. He preceded her in death in May 1988.

She was a 1940 graduate of Tech High School in Indianapolis. She moved to Tucson, Ariz., in 1964, where she resided until September 2005. She was retired from Pima County (Ariz.) Waste Management Department, where she had worked as an office manager. She was a longtime member of the Methodist church in Tucson.

Helen resided at Keepsake Village at the Hearth at Stones Crossing since January 2008.

She is survived by two sisters, Louise May of Acton and Mary Ann Harrell of Mooresville; one brother, William Lemasters and his wife, Norma, of Greenwood; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

In accordance with Helen's instructions, no services will be conducted. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park in Tucson.

Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Franklin is handling arrangements.
