Mrs. Richard Herron died at her home in Thorncreek Twp, Whitley County, Monday from heart trouble and dropsy, aged 74 years, 2 months and 10 days. From 1858 till 1896 Mr. and Mrs. Herron resided in this county but since then they have lived in Whitley County.

She is survived by the husband; 5 children, John N. of DeKalb County, Wesley of Thorncreek Twp, Mrs. Malinda Shirey of Cedarville, Allen County, Charles of Thorncreek, Mrs. Daniel Fisher of Thorncreek, and Will of Fort Wayne; 3 brothers, Abram Lemaster of Merriam, Ezra Lemaster of Kendallville, John W. Lemaster of Tuscarawas County, Ohio; 2 sisters, Mrs. Wesley Hyre of Stroh and Mrs. Mollie Meyers of Auburn. Obsequies will be at Christian Chapel Saturday. Burial in the chapel cemetery. Democrat 7-29-1909
