James Thomas LeGrand is buried in the LeGrand family plot, but his grave is unmarked. He made oak barrell staves at his home in Sinkin, Shannon co, MO and was a teamster in his later days near Cardin, Ottawa co, OK. He married Susan Tabitha Hurt (1858-1932) in about 1879 at Sinkin, Shannon co, MO. They had five children who survived to adulthood; namely, Henry David, Matthew Woodson, George Edward, Ethel Lavada, and James Oscar.
