Former Arichat Councillor dies.
LeBlanc, Simon Joseph - 79, Dartmouth, died Sunday in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Bucket Cove, Arichat, he was a son of the late Cassimere and Clara (Richard) LeBlanc. He was a former Arichat municipal councillor, former district school trustee, former returning officer for Richmond County and former Third Degree member of Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Boudreau; two sons, Ralph, Sheet Harbour; Raymond, D'Escousse; a daughter, Jeannette Sampson, Dartmouth; six sisters, Clarisse (Mrs Stanley Forgeron) , Martinique; Mrs. Deline MacNeil, Evanston; Margaret (Mrs George Johnson), Mrs. Lida MacNeil, Eileen (Mrs. Bill Bobbitt), all of Port Hawkesbury; Mrs. Georgina Ryan, MacIntyre's Lake; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Alfred in infancy; a brother, Charles; two sisters, Eliza, Mary. The body is in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat. Funeral wil be 10 a.m. today in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Arichat, Rev. Hugh MacDonald officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the parish cemetery.
