Joseph S. Le Fort, Born Oct. 18, 1920 in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia; died Jan. 5, 2016 in Ocala, FL. He proudly served our country in WW II in the US Navy. He worked with Eastern Airlines as an airline painter/machinist. After retiring he worked as a Ranger at the Pembroke Lakes Golf Club. Sam was a past resident of South Florida for 64 years. He was married to the love of his life, the late Marjorie for 49 years; and is survived by his daughters Susan Steinle and Betty Finnk; grandchildren Cassandra (Joey) Watters, Eric (Jennifer) Steinle, and Jacqueline (Chris) Easley; great-grandchildren Sam, Sarah, Jacob Easley, Jolie Watters, and Sierra Steinle; brother John Le Fort; sister Nora Peters. Preceded in death by brothers George and Dennis Le Fort; sisters Hilda Crowley, Lucy Caruso, Gena Le Fort. Sam is remembered for his love of family, books, and being a master model ship builder. Memorial service will be Fri., Jan. 8, 2016 11:30 AM at West Ocala United Methodist Church. Arrangements entrusted with HIERS-BAXLEY FUNERAL SERVICES-Timber Ridge.
