John Lazenby - Corning, Tehama Co. Funeral service will be held at 3 P.M. Wednesday in the Hall Brothers Capel in Corning for John Frederic Lazenby, 68, a resident of the Corning area for two years.
He died Thursday in Merritt Hospital in Oakland.
A native of Clithern, near Manchester, England, Lazenby attended Pannal-Asche College and Cambridge University and graduated from the Harvard School of Administration. He served in the British army during World War I and did volunteer interpretation for the United States in World War II. A writer, he made his home in Hawaii for many years, prior to coming to Corning.
He is survived by his widow, Veda: a son, Frederic John of New York City, and a sister Mrs. Alex Strachan of England.
