Mrs. Alpha Layton Allen
Alpha Layton Allen, age 80, of Printer, Kentucky, widow of Charlie Allen passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008 in the St. Joseph Martin Hospital, Martin, Kentucky. She was born in Millstone, Kentucky, on June 29, 1927 a daughter of the late Ed and Lester Ellen Wright Layton. Mrs. Allen was a homemaker and attended the Old Time Baptist Church at Printer.
She is survived by three daughters; Mickie (Denver) Meade, Printer, Ky., Lucy Allen (Curtis) Fowler, of Florida, and Margie (Gregory) Thomerson, Lexington, Ky. One sister Sarah Chaffin, Allen, Ky., five grandchildren; Keith, Tim, Tracy, Monica and Summer. Ten great grandchildren; Joshua, Jessica, Amber, Jordan, Brennon, Zack, Cheyenne, Conner, Nathan, Braxton, Destiny, Treyton and Kiara.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, with Denver Meade and Josh Meade officiating. Burial will follow in the Sep Allen Cemetery, Printer, Ky. Visitation is after 5:00 p.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home, with services nightly at 7:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Keith Meade, Tim Meade, Zachary Stanley, Joshua Meade, Jordan Meade, Freddy Collins and Brennon Perkins.
