She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Mrs. Lawson did 10,000 hours of volunteer work at Lexington Medical Center and volunteered at the voting polls for over 20 years. She also was the voice of "Meet your mother at the rocket" at the South Carolina State Fair for over 25 years. Mrs. Lawson was a very devoted wife and homemaker for 35 years. The family would like to give thanks to special friends, Bonnie, Joann, Peggy, Regency Hospice and the Cancer Care Unit at Lexington Medical Center.
Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Smith.
