Lydia Azevedo of Laton, age 75, has passed away.
Lydia was the widow of John R. Azevedo. John and Lydia were retired dairy farmers.
Lydia was preceded in death by her parents Tony and Lydia Lawrence.
Lydia was a dedicated homemaker and was praised by all for her beautiful flower garden. Above all she was the world's greatest Mother and Vav. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved so much, we were all her favorite.
Lydia is survived by her daughter, Marlene Azevedo; son, John Azevedo and wife Theresa, son, Lionel Azevedo and wife Karen. She had one granddaughter, Lucy Coelho and six grandsons, Jason, Ryan, Richard, Nicholas, Joshua, and Tyson Azevedo. Ten great-grandchildren, Derrick, Houston, Ethan, Lucas, Morgan, Rileigh, Mikayla, Coulton, Tagen, and Kylie with two more due in August. She is also survived by her five sisters, Lorraine DaLuz of San Antonio, Irene Amaro and Mary Jane Wright of Tulare, LaVerne Bryant of Sacramento, Shirley Stites of San Jose; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 11 with the Recitation of the Rosary to follow at 6 p.m., at The Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Laton. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 12 at The Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Burial services will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Laton.
Remembrances in her name can be made to Our Lady of Fatima Altar Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Services Chapel in Hanford.
