Sherri was a 1985 graduate of Northwestern High School where she played on the school's first softball team. She also played volleyball and basketball. She also was a 1989 graduate of Ball State University. Sherri was a member of Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, TX, member of Alpha Phi Sorority at Ball State, was active in her churches Women's Bible leadership group, Kokomo Psalms Leadership group. Some of Sherri's hobbies included Sports, her boy's activities, reading, music and playing cards.
Survivors include her parents John and Carlene Lawrence of Kokomo; husband Terry L. Baker; sons Cole M. Baker , Zach R. Baker both of Katy, TX; brothers Matthew (Katie) Lawrence of Lafayette; nephews Jack Lawrence, James Lawrence; niece, Annika Lawrence; brother in-law, William Baker of Ocala, FL; mother in-law, Mary Thrawley of Anderson; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm on Friday, May 30, 2014 at First Baptist Church at 310 W. Taylor St. in Kokomo with Pastor Paul Martin. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call upon the family from 3 to 8 pm on Thursday at the First Baptist Church.
