He was born March 29, 1927 to Kenneth and Alyce Lawrence (Allen) in Maryville, MO. He lived most of his life in St. Joseph.
Ronald married Aletha Lawrence June 2, 1990.
Mr. Lawrence served in the United States Navy during WWII on the USS Charles Ausburne DD570. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 40 years and retired as a District Engineer. He was a member of Wyatt Park Baptist Church, life and charter member of the Sunrise Optimist Club, life member and Past Worshipful Master of Charity Lodge #331, A.F and A.M., District Deputy Grand Master, 50 year member of Mitchell Chapter #14, Royal Arch Masons, St. Joseph Council #9, Royal and Select Masters, Hugh De Payens Commanderey #4, Knights Templar, 50 year Thirty-Second Degree Scottish Rite Mason, Past Potentate of the Moila Shrine, life member of the Shriner's International and Transportation Crew member transporting children and parents to St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Dorothy Lawrence and brother John Lawrence.
Survivors: his wife, Aletha Krug Lawrence; two sons, Ronald Lawrence II (Nancy)and Paul Lawrence, both of St. Joseph; Two brothers, Richard Lawrence (Jenny), of Highland Ranch, Colorado, Roger Lawrence (Joyce), of DeSoto, Texas; sister, Beverly Riggs (Robert), Dallas, Texas; sister-in-law, Jo Lawrence, Overland Park, Kansas; six grandchildren, Chanda Mathys, Bobby Mathys, Tiffaney Teegarden, Mayme Lawrence, Deanna Lawrence and Paula Lawrence; four great-grandchildren and ten nieces and nephews.
Services: 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The Family suggests memorial gifts to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
