Edward married Mary Smith on May 19, 1886. They had a daughter who died at birth, a son, Sidney Smith, and another daughter, Helen. After Mary died, he married Mary's sister, Frances Smith, on November 30, 1893. They had a son, Azra, and a daughter, Mina. Both wives, the unnamed daughter who died at birth, daughter Helen, and son Azra preceded him in death. His son, Sidney Smith Lawrence (DOB 11/15/1887, DOD 11/9/1966) married Julia Moore in 1914. They had four children, Edward Walton (1918 - 1955), Sidney Smith (1920 - 1982), Walton (1923 - ???), and Rose Mary (1929 - ???). Sidney, Julia, Edward, and Sidney (Jr.) are buried at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Colma, San Mateo County, CA. Daughter Mina was married to Dr. William Carl Keck, DVM, and had three children, Fred, Julia, and Mary and eleven grandchildren.
